Our collective soul is under pressure
We spend a lot of time discussing the many challenges in our society. We see that the population is divided in many areas. The politicians are berated. We find it difficult to identify ourselves as a proper population. The soul of the people is not healthy.

We are a group of ordinary citizens who believe that we forget ourselves in the daily problems we see, and that the root cause to these problems must be found deep within our souls.

We need to start with our roots
We talk about problems all the time but we only scratch the surface, we only discuss the visible parts. If society was a plant, we work on each and every leave in order to make them look better. But we forget the root of the plant. We forget that our identity, our self-esteem and our soul as free individuals. We do not openly discuss the need to take responsibility for ourselves as free people, simply because all talk about freedom and independence is being silenced by doubts and incomprehensible consequences.

We believe that in order to move on we need to start with the root. We must dare to be free. We must dare to be us.

These pages are about why we believe things are as they are and how we can do something about it, and why it is important to debate this now and not later.
The fear for the unknown blocks us from taking action
Even if most people in Greenland according to various polls wish to see an independent nation, the fear of the consequences has contributed to the more moderate view on independence, namely that "we see it as a long term objective".

The debate about Greenland as an independent nation has run for many many years. Many feelings are linked to this debate, both in terms of the relationship with Denmark, and linked to the question of what is meant by being Greenlandic, and whether it is at all possible to become fully independent.

We are a group of ordinary citizens who has committed ourselves to describe that not only is it possible, but also necessary…… and urgently so. We believe that many of the challenges we face in our society are rooted in the fact that we are not treated as equals. We need to acknowledge our post and from there take the necessary steps towards the future. It is necessary to be responsible in order to take responsibility.

Where do we want to go? We want a society where we take full responsibility for our own fate
We want the debate about independence and freedom to lead to an actual nation building, to an independent Kalaallit Nunaat which is shaped in a way that fits our way of life. A nation where party politics does not divide us. A nation where we proudly take part in world affairs together with other nations. No nation can stand alone in this world, nor should Kalaallit Nunaat. On the contrary, we would like to participate in a clear and visible manner, in international politics, in education, science, commerce, culture and sports. We want to build a nation where everyone feels safe in a new society based on equality and genuine respect for each other. We want to establish a clear foundation for a way of living, where we take responsibility of our own fate, knowing that whatever we set out to do is for our own nation. A nation where we all can take part in creating a sustainable development from the basis of freedom here and now. Kalaallit Nunaat.

We are not a political party
We are not into party politics and you can not vote for us. We believe that is a matter of all of us being equal human beings, outside the boundaries of party politics. We wish our contributions to this important debate can strengthen the hope for a better future. A future for all of us. In a nation where we all take responsibility because we have reinstated our pride, sense of equality and freedom. In a nation where we can all be human beings again. Kalaallit Nunaat.

We wish to have a constructive debate
It is also our hope that our material can assist with creating a constructive debate everywhere in our country. We wish to see all citizens take part in this important debate about the natural next step towards our development towards building a true nation.

Live our culture, our traditions and speak about Kalaallit Nunaat in a proud manner
We will try to arrange webinars and arrange for gatherings in our community houses in order to promote our views and to get the debate going. But we encourage all to talk about these matters within their own circles as well. Meet people, create debate, discuss, find the strength in being free, start demanding, take responsibility. Live our culture, our traditions and be proud. We will contribute with material for your discussions on these pages that you are free to use.

Make it the new normal to talk constructively and respectfully and future-oriented about the next steps for Kalaallit Nunaat. Join us in the journey. You can also find us on Facebook with live streams, small articles and news as and when we have the time for it.
